u got a new alternator and it still does that? hmm... well to answer "is this an ef thing" yeah mine does it too but i think my alternators bad and i got a spare but im too lazy to replace it right now, and the fact that the motors coming out in about a month so im not too worried about it. everybody says the alternator is why mine does that tho but if you replaced it and it still does it i wonder what else it could be. sorry i couldnt help out but jus givin input. bump for answers!

i had the prblem 3 days ago until i got a new alternator,

what i did was the following

i change the alternator my light s kept dimin off
with the new alternator so i decided to check
the cables that connect to the alternator, one of them is a ground cable.(it runs to the fuse box inside engine compartment passenger side) i notice it was not tighten so i grab a scre and plug that cable turn my car on and it solved the problem.....................
in short words check you ground cable that runs from the alternator to the fuse box

good point to always double check all your connections. look at the alternator and also double check that your battery is fully charged. this happened to me last month. I had a bad battery with a new alternator. also diming lights and then replaced my battery then everything is a ok.

Now when do u notice the dimming of the lights. Do you have the alternator under load. check the voltage on the battery witha DMM with your ligths and high beams on. also your heater at full blast and the wiper going. you should get a voltage reading of 13.5 to 14.5 volts.
let me know what you get?!
