Default Bought a new 06 Civic LX coupe

One of the reasons I picked the Civic was because it was so customizable. So after having it for a couple months Ive managed to come across some extra spending money (not much, but hopefully enough). So Ive started looking around at all the different websites and managed to thoroughly confuse myself. So my question is this: where should I start?

Id like to boost the performance a little bit, just to make it more fun to drive, but I dont see any racing in my future, so its not a big issue.

Id like it to look a little more sporty than it does stock, but I definitely dont want it to look obnoxious.

Heres what Ive managed to figure out so far:
Performance: Theres a hell of a lot you can buy, varying effects, varying prices, no idea where to start.

Wheels: I have 16" wheels with...tires? I dunno. I can buy new 16" wheels or maybe upgrade to 17" with slimmer tires? Would this require an adjustment to ABS or the speedometer or anything like that? Dont need anything too fancy wheel-wise, just an upgrade over the sorta dull finish on the stock rims would be nice.

Aerodynamics: Have negligible impact on anything but looks of the car. Don't really like the looks of most trunk spoilers. Have researched the body kits just enough to know there are a lot of different ones to buy and I'll probably have to have someone install them for me. Is there any company/website I should avoid, or one that is recommended?

I got a honda civic because I've heard they're idiot-proof when it comes to normal car maintainence. And when it comes to cars, I'm kind of an idiot. Not looking for a hotrod or anything, just wondering if you guys could help direct my first customization dollars.

Thanks!

not really much to do with the stock R18 LX engine

usual intake and exhaust, and a downpipe by megan racing is all i cant think of thats out right now.

companies are making turbos and such for our cars but its going to be a while before we see this cars true potential since its new to the market.

it wont affect the ABS or the speedometer (i heard its like 0.? different with bigger rims and tires but noting too drastic.
