Default could a stock dx barburator hold boost from a turbo?

i have a 90 dx hatchback and i want to give it a lil hsp and its an everyday driver. i was wondering if the carburator could hold at least 8 to 10 psi of boost? its a 4 speed and soon to be a 5 speed si tranny? would the tranny hold as well ?

90 dx should be dpfi not carbed

its not carburated, but it can hold a little boost. I have seen pictures of a guy's engine that was boosted, but while at the dyno it blew a hole in the side of the block when it hit like 15psi (threw a rod I think). its not the greatest engine to make a project engine, so if it were up to me I wouldn't waste the time or effort or money.

so what could i some3 how make a manifold for it? or does anyone know of a company that makes manifolds for dx turbo?

you should look in the FAQ's or search.

You can change your setup to MPFI.
And a turbo mani. for the DX is no different from any other 88-00 SOHC manifold

hey i have a turbo set up that im selling let me know if you are insterested is fo a d15b2 and have a dpfi run good but im whant a better car and im selling it let me know if you whant it take care

Didn't know they came with carburators.
