I am looking to upgrade soon since my pad wear detectors are squeaking

All Jap Performance sells them. I forget their web address, but you can order them off their site. Search around on google.

I prefer Porterfield R4S pads... They don't have that "grab the front nose and yank it down to the ground" sensation that I've experienced with Hawk pads in other cars I've driven (either on the street or on the autocross course).

Honestly, the OEM Honda pads (in conjunction with the new master cylinder/brake booster design on the new 8th Gen. Civic) is a great choice nonetheless, imho. This is what I run (street and National level autocrosses).

Now, if I ran more open track events, then, yes, I'd step up to a carbon pad like the Porterfield R4. They slow the car down like an anchor is attached to it, but I may get 125 ~150 track miles out of a set of pads!

I've just never been a fan of Hawk pads. Sorry, just being honest.

I believe that's known as "initial bite." I like Axxis Ultimates about the best of anything I've tried, including Porterfield R4-S.
