Default Hood dampers

Are the hood dampers good on the carbon fiber hood and do you still need to buy a hood locks for it?

Hood locks and hood dampers are 2 totally different things. The dampers are not reccomended for NON-OEM hoods but I have seen it done before. Hood locks/pins are for saftey so the hood doesn't magically fly into your window.

hood dampers are good for carbon hood so you dont get the flex when you have your hood open
