has anyone on here done this before? how did you do it?

 

dremel with a cut-off wheel, bloock sander, and a file

 

thats what i was thinking, the bottom grille doesnt just pop out or unscrew though does it? so its molded to the bumper?

 

^ Correct. if you dont have a dremel available. ive used tin snips and a fileto clean the edges

 

I've used a steak knife and a file, and then some 600, then some 1000 grit.

 

i've used a pair of strong *** scissors too...
just make sure to sand so it looks clean.

 

any of therse will work, I use a die grinder then sandpaper to clean it up. good luck, maybe make a line with tape around it so you get a straight cut.

 

Pretty much the same procedure as if you made your own CTR grille.

your best bet, is not to use a cut off wheel. it will only burn and melt the plastic. I have always used a metal cutting blade. I use a body saw. Or if you don't ahve access to a neumatic bodysaw. Use a jig saw...

Looks more like a backdoor setup to me. You can see some more t-bolt clamps behind the bov.

I've seen more pics of that car. It is a backdoor setup.

anyways, when i get my turbo setup i plan on cutting it, just to show off the Intercooler lol. plus it looks 10,095935432,32434543x better

Backdoor setup is for no charge pipe froming form the turbo, the turbo uses just one coupler to go right to the intercooler.

yeah if it was that rediculously expensive bumper everyone drools over but thats not hte case read above

 

i used a jigsaw..but with a finner blade....cuts the bumper like butter..

u can use a close quarter hacksaw. when i installed my foglights, i just used the hacksaw blade by itself. works good and cuts real easy.

Not enough to keep it from making 850+ hp...so I'd say no. No it doesn't.
