Default How to keep your rims blinging...

I just recently purchased some 96 spec ITR rims and I need to know what you guys use to keep your WHITE rims clean. I was using some turtlewax spray but its not that great. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried wiping them dry with a microfiber cloth after you wash them? Perhaps some peanut butter if they have a lot of old wax residue/dust?

Where can I get one of these "microfiber clothes"? And are you serious about the peanut butter?

Im guessing you can get this at any local autostore.

The micro fiber cloths you can buy from your local auto store. Auto Zone, Advanced Auto, or whatever. They are usually with the cleaning section. You can also buy them in bulk, like from Costco. I'm sure these store are available locally near you.

I heard coca-cola and tin foil works great on rust and leaves it shiney...but I dunno. Any more recommendations?

I use Zaino Car wash and just wash every other week (smells good ).

http://www.zainostore.com/

Zaino has a wax as well and can be used on wheels. I've never waxed mine yet after 7 years

I clean mine with sponge and the Zaino car wash. Any stubborn stains, use Simple Green spray and clay (the clay will get really elastic and eventually useless...).

I use a sponge on the wheels (synthetic) and dry with a microfiber.

http://www.autopia-carcare.com/ has great tips for detailing as well

I never have problems with the brake dust anymore because I went back to OEM pads

Your rims will stay clean if you clean them completely every time.... if you neglect your rims for a while, your gonna have one hell of a build up.

By completely, you mean behind the spokes as well right? Cuz that takes some time.

cough cough, WHEELS! haha, my roomate says rims too, it's a weird pet peeve of mine.

Either way I just use warm water, meguires deep crystal car wash and a painters cloth. Gets them shining but I hightly doubt that method repels any brake dust. I don't mind cleaning them, even when it's nasty cold out, then I just get a warm bucket of water
