Default Question for all the hardtop owners out there....

Recently i've developed some sort of phantom squeek from where the hardtop latches to the striker near the windshield. This is mostly on the passenger side, but occasionally on the drivers side. It's a very sharp/short high pitched squeek that only occurs when the car is jarred or i'm driving over a bump or something. It's basically driving me insane at this point. I've tried lubing the **** out of the latch, and that didn't seem to do anything. Is there anything else I can do other then more lube? Maybe some sort of tightening or adjustment? I'm ready to resort to taking it to the dealership at this point.

try to readjust the top...if its a squeek then it should be the rubber pieces...but a rattle and a squeek are two different things.

open the front latches and re tighten the philips screws that hold it to the top. i had a spacer get loose once because the bolt was coming out. lock tight and a screw driver fixed that.
