I give in - 2000 Bone Stock Black ITR for sale
I can't do it anymore - I can't have three cars and driving the ITR to Dallas every other week is killing me. While I love it in town, I can't talk on the phone during the 3 hour commute from Austin (4K RPM w/ no soundproofing equals microphone oversaturation). All that being said, it still gets 30.8 MPG at highway speeds. I'm 45 and don't enjoy climbing in and out of it the way I used to. Besides, the additional miles are killing the car! It just turned 30K. This is just wrong to do to a low mileage Type R...
The car is in great shape and you can count the door dings on one hand. Non-smoker, original owner, always parked in the back forty, garage kept. While I'd like to sell the car, I'm in no rush so please, no low ballers. This is a rare find for a Type R and I want it to go to a good home. It comes with two sets of tires. Weekends on Gunmetal 15" US Rims/Proxes RA-1s and everyday on White 16" JDM Rims/DNA GPs.
Contact me directly at peter@austin.rr.com rather than HT.

Again, this is bone stock - no aftermarket exhaust spoken here. As for the phone calls, my clients will not tolerate the noise. They pay the bills, they get what they want...

I know what you mean about not being able to talk on your cellphone!
BUT .. There is a solution.
I got the nXZen

Check out the audio samples. They are simply amazing. After hearing the demos it made me want one so I could talk in my ITR.
I tested it out with a coworker. With all my windows up, they could not hear any of the background noise and were able to hear my voice perfectly.
With the windows down, they could still hear my voice with a tiny bit of degredation because it had to cancel the wind noise too.
I did a test with a VTEC run from 70 to 90 mph in third gear with the windows rolled down. My coworker could still understand every word I said. It just sounded a little more degrated. I could not hear a word he said though. The wind and engine noise was too much for me.
So.. to recap.. This thing really works with windows up and no VTEC, the caller will never know you were in your car. With windows up and go hitting VTEC, the caller might hear the tail end of the VTEC, but that's it.

He knows where the car is. Everything, is for sale. Tell him to pick-up the phone.
The hatchcrap is still mint, super damn fast and real happy living in Penn.
BTW- GL with the sale. Stock ITR are becoming VERY rare. I'd ask top coin.

Yeah it is loud IMO. Some of us are just so used to the sound we don't realize it.
I drove around my friend's new SI the other night and even when I was revving it I thought the sound was so much quieter than the R.
But don't get me wrong, I love the noise- except when I'm on the phone too.

Clean ride. I wish they weren't such theft targets. Good luck with the sale.

Heh, all cars should be that loud, if not louder. I take a dim view of cellphone use while driving.
Good luck with the sale. I wish I could afford it. Hell, I'm probably just a few miles away from you.
