Check the pressure of the AC system?
The pressure at the low pressure valve of my 93 Accord LX is zero, probably because of a leakage somewhere in the system. I don't have a gauge to test the high pressure valve. Does this mean the high pressure side is also zero? I haven't run the AC for over a year. Now I need to open the system and remove the condensor.
Thanks.
Thanks.
get a small screwdriver and push down on the valve on the a/c high pressure hose. if no freon comes out your system is most likely empty ...
but if low side is at zero most likely high side is at zero or close to it ..

When the AC System sits for awhile, the Lo & Hi side pressures equalize, you are empty due to a medium to a large size leak. You will need to do a leak test, locate all the leaks, fix the leak, change the receiver/drier and do a full vacuum and reservice (while still in a vacuum), add a little oil then do a performance test of the system to see if everything is working but it is a little hard to check all the specs in the cooler season like now.
