swapping a prelude motor into a Ek ?????
i apologize if this bothers anyone but i was just hoping for a direct answer to my question .
i have a 1997 prelude that recently had the transmission go . so everything is perfect still and i would not like to replace the transmission .
So i was thinking about getting a EK hatch shell and doing a swap .
and my question is :
1) What parts from the prelude has to be switched over ?
2) is it a direct bolt on ?
3) if not , what needs to be done ?
4) can i use the stock EK transmission work with the prelude motor ?
thanks

can i cut out the mounts from the prelude and weld it into the civic engine bay ? or is it much easier and less time consuming to buy the mounts ? and other parts you could tell me ?
or maybe is it better to sell the car ?

it is better to buy the mounts.
in ur case, if ur looking to save money, i would just replace the H tranny.
if not, u still have to get another B series tranny, and the H2b kit.. or whatever... then mounts, then axles, then wire it, then the ek shell....
and to put all this in the civic.....
