Default Humming/Vibration From left Front Wheel

Here's my problem. While driving down the street when I turn the wheel left I get a humming/ vibration noise from the left front tire. I removed knuckle and replaced with another one to see if it was the bearing still same noise. If I apply the brakes noise gets worse, which should rule out bearing also. I was wondering if axles can make these noises even though the boot is not ripped. Called Raxles where i bought them from, they said axles do not make noises unless boot is ripped and grease escapes. Also makes noise while driving straight at around 60 MPH. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Mario

are your tires super choppy? try rotating the left front one to the back and see if it moves to the back. how do the brakes look? mabey the pads are very low or really crappy design

My tires are really badly cupped due to having bad shocks. That could be the problem. Good advice. I will ride it out and see if tires wear even in the next 1000 miles or so after changing shocks.
Thanks

really does sound like a bearing issue.... i read that you changed the knuckles, but damn... your symptoms are almost unmistakeable.

only other thing i can think of is your brake pads are simply ground down to the backing plates, but im figuring youd have checked that by now.

is the noise speed dependent?

have you turned the wheel by hand while its in the air to help locate the noise?

Tyson, brakes are almost new. When you say speed dependent what do you mean. I thought if you turned left bearing on the right would make noise, and vise versa. When I turn left noise comes from left wheel. Car didn't make any noise while front end was lifted off of ground. I swaer it is the axle, but was told they don't make noises unless boot is ripped.
Thanks for the reply tyson!

speed dependent, does it make noise at a certain speed, does it increase with speed?

ah, thought i read you turned right, the left side was making noise.

no, it doesnt make sense then if you turn left, the left side makes noise.

do you know what the hub ring is? it surrounds the axle on the knuckle, its press fit on, if you dislodge it, it makes an annoying metallic scratching noise. could it be that?

otherwise, just replace the axle and see if that fixes it.

Yes the hub ring fits loosely in the knuckle, meaning if you hit one side to hard other side pops out easy. I will check that to see if it came loose or is hitting axle.
The noise is usually at 60mph, once past it it goes away and at 40mph once and a while you will hear it.
Thanks, for feedback Tyson

Well after getting car aligned and putting the worst of the cupped tires in the back of car and putting on new shocks, the noise seems to have almost disappear. Will drive some more miles and if tires due not correct themselves will replace tires.

Thanks for everybodies help and input Greatly Appreciated!!

sorry Tyson, never posted tires were cupped my bad. So you think the cupping will not wear even after 1000 miles or so.
Thanks

if they arent directional tires, try swapping them from side to side. if they are then try them in the back and keep an eye on them. it wont hurt to try as long as they arent so cupped that they are unsafe
