Default Autozone velocity stack home made filter!!!

Since I couldn't find a filter that would fit over the 6.5" velocity stack, I created my own.
1) I bought a square shaped filter by STP and cut the grill and filter in a shape of a circle.

2)I also bought a home a/c filter and cut out a square shape.

3) So the grill from the STP filter went on top of the stack then the STP filter then the a/c filter on the top (this will secure everything down).

4) Last but not least I used the paper clamps to hold everything in place. Now I know this is ricy but who doesnt have a lill rice in them .

By the way here is the link to my original "Cant find filter" thread:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1791688

I will report back as to how this performs after I install on my car. All coments welcome, positive or negative

lol...guys, u r still not getting the whole picture though. There are two filters on there, a normal air filter and an a/c filter (If you stare at the pic that shows you the bottom, you can see it look familiar to other filters, there is a grill then normal filter then the a/c filter on top) . Even though its all ghetto etc, I still think its gonna work well. Hopefully, this wont destroy my car

The butt duno huh, you 'feel' it pull harder. Trust me, I don't think you added any power over your regular filter setup. Creative, but I think your engine bay needs something more agressive looking than that.

it could infact help a little bit. But a dyno test would have to be done in order to get results.

I know its quite ghetto but the thing is that its not just a filter that i added, i added a velcoity stack, and thats the reason i "created" the filter. It looks really crappy in the pictures but trust me when I say that its solid as hell. The only thing I am worried about is cleaning or replacing it later on...but thats far away :-p. I will get it dyno tested but that is really a long time from now. I think i am gonna gain 30+hp when i get a header and swap my car to a manual

But I was thinking of either a greddy or vibrant header with a 2.5"collector mod or maybe by that time i can find some other power gaining header with a 2.5" collector for around 500 bucks.

Well, I applaud you for trying something different and not being afraid to show it on H-T.

Even though it looks like an attachment for a toilet bowl brush, I like the creativity and willingness to ghetto-fabricate your own stuff.
