i cant hear a change in the way the engine sounds at all throughout the rev range in my 97 ex...bone stock

are you supposed to be able to hear vtec kick in on this one or not? (def. remember hearing it in a gsr)

SOHC VTEC only switches lobes on the intake. DOHC VTEC is intake + exhaust.

If you have an intake aka VTEC MICROPHONE you will hear it.

On my d15b vtec, I have stock CX exhaust + jdm whale *****. I hear VTEC.

I can hear it with only a CAI, but it's subtle. Before I had the intake on, I couldn't tell the difference.

No, I just figured that I would keep responding and bumping the thread up even though the question has already been answered.
