Need help with my Mugen FG360.
I've had this wheel for quite sometime and have been meaning to get the horn to work. Anyone have any ideas on how to get it to work?.
Thanks
what exactly is the problem?
You don't have the shoehorn to contact the back of the hub?
If not, go to the honda dealer and pick one up for like 10bux cad. Off a 92CX.
Or a junkyard if you're closer to one.

Justin, have you ever seen the hub on the JDM R non-SRS wheel? When looking for a Momo style hub, you need to be sure that is has the same copper backing so an electrical connection can be made for the horn.
i think everyone should realize, that the mugen FG is UNIQUE in design. the horn wires DO NOT feed back into the hub via the a center horn button like 99% of steering wheels out there. the wires are actually outside of the hub area and the horn buttons are those "frog-eyes" located in the thumb area of the wheel.
once you figure out a clean way of feeding those horn wires back into the hub, then the rest is the same as far as the copper tab resting on the base of the hub you are using...and this is a process i'll be doing myself once i have the time. the process of wiring within the hub and steering wheel column itself is noted and buried in a few posts in archives, but like i mentioned, the fg's horn placement is different and makes it a little more unique than most applications.
this thread could benefit from a first-hand explanation from someone lucky enough to have made the horn work on this $1000 steering wheel.

You have got to be kidding me. They're very nice wheels, but they're not that much better than a Momo Montecarlo.

Yeah, I just bought a Momo Corse for $65. $1000 seems COMPLETELY absurd in comparison. It's a goddamn steering wheel! Not like the Mugen one will make you faster or anything.

supply and demand. 1k is a bit over the top, but its still my favorite wheel ever. I remember seeing it in a very small "tuner car" magazine, on a 97 itr, that had a jun crate motor, and mugen twin loop. that was 7 years ago or so, when i was 15, i thought it was stock on the R, pad and all. i made this face
when i found out it wasnt. wanted one ever since lol.

considering its condition $300 was a fair price.
Theones that sell for $1G + are NIB with center pad and Mugen hub
