*** QUESTION OR NOT I NEED HELP FROM YOU GUYS OUT THERE CAUSE IM ABOUT TO MAKE MY TEG GO BYE BYE...3 weeks agoi let my lil bro take my 2001 gsr to go and give somebody a jump. Now the day after my car wouldnt start so i figured it was the alternator.. So i removed it and got it checked the guy said it didnt need rebuilding it was holding the charge fine.. So i thought it was my battery..Bought a new battery installed it and nothing changed except my car started..So now i have the stock alternator back in with a new battery... NOW IT GETS GOOD!!! im OBD2B SO I CHECKED MY CODES...........

OXGEN SENSOR HEATER OR WHATEVER----INTAKE/EXHAUST I KNOW THAT ALREADY
AND ELECTRONIC LOAD DETECTOR OK

so i switched up my whole damn fuse box to fix that damn code for the ELD and my car still doesent hold a charge still gives me the same codes and it died on me today when i went to put gas ....PLEASE IF ANYBODY HAS BEEN THROUGH THIS HELP ME OUT I NEED YOU GUYS I REALLY DONT WANNA STRIP MY BABY AND PUT EVERYTHING IN MY 95 COUPE PLEASE HELP IM DESPERATE!!!!

 

Why would you strip everything from the GSR?

I am almost certain its your alternator. Those machines arent right all the time you know. I had the same exact problem.

 

So ur battery goes dead after a while? Check ur fuses, could have blown the one that charges ur battery. CHeck ur battery terminals for corrosion, I had a problem like this and got the ELD code and it turned out I had corrosion all over the inside of my terminals. Couldn't see it from the outside, but was all over the inside, which was making the problem. So check ur terminals too.
