my transmission is not shifting. i drive it and then when it goes for a little bit then starts to rev. i let it cool off for a little bit then it drives again, but then starts slipping. whats wrong with my car? i need help. thanks. fluid is full, but i don't know when it has been changed. any ideas would help. thanks again.

 

First thing you might try is to change out the trans fluid a couple times, change it drive a few miles and change it again. There is a lot of problems with those torque converters coming apart, it then plugs up the pick up point in the trans, then when you let it sit parked the junk falls back out of the pick up.

 

I was gonna say it sounds like the filter is gettign clogged, which the only solution is to take a part the tranny and change the filter or get a new tranny if the flud change doesnt work
