From: u looked at my location LOL.
The temp gauge on my crx is acting weird. It will be normal but after a while temp will jump from the middle straight to the top, back to bottom etc. I know the engine itself is not getting too hot. Anyone has any idea why its doing this?? Thanks.
you need to check couple of things, check
ALL hoses make sure fluid is flowing all around
check you fan it come when it suppose to
bleed radiator
check termostat
and lastly check head gasket and water pump

I had this problem and posted it on a different forum.
The response I got was to change the "Thermo Unit". I haven't done this yet, i just unplugged the sender so that the gauge doesn't get jacked up. As soon as I get a chance to run to the parts store I'll get it fixed. Part costs about $25 and takes two minutes to change out. (or so I'm told)
