Default Tokico Illumina (whites) Thinking about buying. Please give me your opinions on them

I need a new set of struts that will last, have a lifetime warranty, and will handle great. I am riding Eibach Sportlines of stock struts which have ran 2yrs lowered.

I have been thinking about Tokico Illumina, how are they?

Good entry level shocks w/ dampening adjustability. And they carry a lifetime warranty Talk to Tyson on the board. He'll tell you the same thing.

Although, I was wondering what you are using your car for?

I have these shocks too...I like them a lot. You really can't go wrong with them.
This lifetime warranty, is that if they blow? is that only to the original purchaser and does it matter if the car has been lowered?

IMO, for the price of the Tokico Illuminas, your better off going with the Koni Yellows. Much better adjustments, better dampening...All around better shock/strut

agree, but it sounds like he's using it for a street setup and I barely adjust my illumina's, so I highly doubt that he'll benefit from Koni's very much

street setup - can't go wrong with the illumina
street with once a month or less track duty - again great shock.
occasional street - lots of track duty - go with the konis or a full set of coilovers

I am lowered on Eibach's Sportline 1.8"drop springs, factory shocks, front and rear upper strut bars, front and rear lower tie-bars

I have had the illuminas for over 6 yrs now and no issues at all. my car is a daily driver and weekly mountain/canyon runs for fun. These shocks are built to last IMO considering the abuse I've put them through

over 6yrs wow that's amazing man especially as a daily driver and mountain/canyone runs! I wouldn't even expect the factory strust to hold upthat long even if the car wasn't lowered.

Sounds so far so good

Ebay sells these struts for a great price.
