I'd like to hear your opinion as to why TL is a numbskull. From what I have heard so far, the guy is a big supporter of the burgeoning (in the US) sport of Supermoto.

not more than 2 or 3 of those guys are full time motard guys.

sick video though. watching that makes me motivated to start working on getting my registration issues worked out so i can finally get my bike out here.

and the kid Villapoto, if he can ride a motard anything like his brother can ride MX, he will be a dominate champion in the sport for a long long time to come.

I can't speak for the people in the video, but I know that some racers use a Speed Leather jacket underneath their MX jerseys. The jacket has hard armor in the crucial areas, as well as leather on the outer parts where abrasion is likely to occur. The insides are mesh to aid in air movement. With an MX jersey, a lot more airflow is to be had. Full leathers get really hot when speeds rarely go above 100.

Not sure where they'd fit in for club-racing, so I'd wait on that purchase. But, my buddy has one that I've been itching to try out.

EDIT: after rereading what i wrote in my last post i also appologize to EngineNo9. what i said was out of line for the situation and i appologize.

Grange is located out near Victorville, off I-15 (heading towards Vegas). It's not too far from the OC, but the track itself is out in some desert area, so you have to do a little bit of dirt-driving to get there.

It is mostly a kart track, but they have some dirt sections. SuMos and karts don't mix well, though. Something about karts not being able to find traction when sumos bring dirt onto the paved sections...

Here is Grange's website, if you are interested: http://www.grangeracetrack.com/main.htm

Racing? What's that? lol

There is no racing (supermoto) to speak of around here. I'm picking up my SMR510 just to terrorize the streets and the back roads.

Great video the picture quality was wonderful.

The more I watch SuMo the more I want to try it...I watch it on TV pretty often and it looks soo damn fun.

Concerning their gear, most of the guys in the AMA Supermoto wear those dirtbike shirt things from what I've seen. I dunno, kinda doesn't look like they have a jacket underneath but they sure might!

Awesome Scarey. I'm not certain that I'll be able to make it there, since I work this weekend from 6a-2p. The only good thing is I'll be somewhat close by. We'll see.

Oh man you are definitely exempt!

Some of the fast road racers that'll be there include the Formula Xtreme champion Josh Hayes and young gun Danny Eslick. Here's a pic of Eslick getting his slide on:
