well after months of messing with the damn twin fire JUNK, the msd6a came throught tonight. the end result was 512whp 335tq 22psi at only 8500rpm.
i am just amazed 3 months to get this right & it took a cheaper ignition.

i woulda tried stock ignition before i tried an msd. i've had no bad experience with msd but if the car was breaking up or giving problems on an aftermarket i'd have tried stock first. either way congrats on the numbers. it feels good to finally "get it right"

well i was making 390 on stock ignition with a ss coil, but with the 255 pump & 1000cc inj i couldent go past that. so know we have climed over the hill, we a actually made 550whp but we are loosing traction on the dyno. wel owerd the tire down to 12 psi & went from 408 to 512, & it still broke loose so we figure their was 550 thier still. now its time to go for 600 keep going till i hit 700+

255 pump and 1000cc injectors not enough for 390?? what the hell?
dood i'm on a 255 and 880cc injectors and i'm up over 500 now and the duty cycle is fine.
or did you mean 590?

why would you not be able to go past 390 on a stock ignition? you never referred to your stock ignition failing in that post... you only mentioned that the twin power wasn't working right. we're all saying people have made well over that power on stock ignition. now if your stock ignition was fucked up that's a diff story but you never mentioned it. calm down. don't get so defensive.

thats how far the twin fires were letting me go. dont know whyy either.
we never tried going past 400 till we resolved the ignition issue, no point in pushing it.
