Default Solvent Popping...

I know this could happen to anyone with any car, but has anyone found any solvent pops in their paint? I've owned my rallye red EX or months and months now, and since day 1 I have been trying to figure out why my paint won't SHINE. It is glossy and nice, but I can see a hell of alot of tiny tiny dots (kind of like holes) on many parts of the car. It feels soft (the paint is not really rough), but the detailer at the shop I work at said they look like solvent pops. Has any1 dealt with them b4? Should I take it back 2 the dealer and tell them (will they do anything 4 me).

Hmm sounds like orange peel. Due to the shitty clear-coat job. Dunno, take it back i guess or take it to a detail shop and see if they can wet sand it for you

A friend brought up an interesting point... maybe that's what the rallye red is supposed to look like (a wanna be flake). Does any1 else with a RR have those little dull sparkle like dots in their paint? Some places (quarter panel, roof..) have it more than other. (mirror and back bumper have very little).

A lot of people complain about orange peel effect of the honda paint (mine has it too) but I see very few vehicles under 30k that dont have this effect.

So i'm told from the local bodyshop that it is NOT solvent popping (kinda knew that, but wasn't sure), but it is a combination of acid rain and overspray. I DID pay for the salmination (what a rip off), and yet I still have acid rain. The overspray, who F'in knows.
