Mine is coming off just a little bit on the way back in the middle. It hasn't bothered me to the point of fixing it yet. I plan on using a little shot of spray adhesive to fix it up.

you think thats bad? try a $45,000 car with its door liners coming out in a couple of months. it was a 330CI BMW btw. small things though compared to how reliable the rest of the car is, when its stock

Curiouz_G wat year 330CI?

My GF's parents have one less than a year old, and they already had to get a door replaced/reinforced because the door was to heavy for the hinges and sagged a lot.

what SMG?

My GF's parents have the 300CI with M package, staggered wheels, new badging, 5 speed auto or 6 speed tiptronic, different interior, a few more ponies, bigger roll bars.

Its sexy, and it goes pretty good too.

Now they are looking at the new Twin Turbo 335CI. I am excited.

its a bit more than that. Auto transmissions that take a dump after 60k, sturts that blow and leak in a couple of years of normal driving. that kind of stuff is bad. older honda's didn't have those kind of problems.

its normal wear and tear psychochik.

and as for you comment about SMG, i made a quick search on http://www.e46fanatics.com and i couldnt see too many cases of SMG failures. And i can assure you, SMG technology is 10x better than older honda's technology

If the cloth is stretched, I'd hate to say that your out of luck to re-use it, but if it is only slightly stretched, you can take it to a re-upholstering company, and have them put some spray adhesive on it, to keep it from sagging.

I didnt think I'd be able to re-use it, I was just seeing what others have done or where they have taken em.
I've not had a vehicle have this, so I was curious.

It only took a day for my seats to get reupholstered, when I had my Landcruiser, so I don't think it should take too long for the liner to get replaced.

My friend has a saturn and it's about 8 years old, all of a sudden this year, her roof liner started to come loose. She took it to be reparied by the reupholsterer and he said that in the summer months all you need to do is crack the windows just alittle bit to prevent this problem, he said this past summer he had a bunch of brand new cars off the dealer lots coming in for the same problem. Guess that good ol ozone layer really is going away...

Her work moved and where she worked before her car was in the shade from trees and the buliding, the new building it was out in the sun baking away, the guy said just opening the windows just a 1/4 inch would prevent this from happening again. He said the glue literally bakes and then turns to dust.
