break in period?

Default break in period?

Going to put new clutch & flywheel, How many miles for break in period??

I would go easy on it for 300-500miles. It will last longer and work better if it is properly broken in.

it should say on the manual that came with it. Mine said 700 miles or so. The first 30 miles are critical that you don't heat it up much.

HEY its been two years and nothing doesnt slip at all still chirps 3 gear and u never gone to a dealership test drove a car and ragged on it so whats the difference?

been 3 years in one car....and 2 years on the other....

it is a myth about the 500 mile brake in period....only clutch i "BROKE IN" failed in 8 months!!!

all the others have not failed!!!

My current clutch was installed at the track and driven at the track right away. You sorta have to hope it beds nicely on the first try, I don't think there's any real need to baby it.

If it doesn't bed right, it was probably due to deposits of other clutch material on the flywheel. I had that happen when changing clutch types without changing the flywheel once (going from OEM to a carbon kevlar clutch.)

If you change the flywheel at the same time, there shouldn't be any bedding really needed.
