You just wasted your money on the shorty header. It does absolutely nothing but make the car sound a lil cooler. LOL

I have driven the new GTI's MK5's. My friend works at a dealership so we mess around with cars but yeah they are fast. Quite torquey as well. It's probably one car I look forward to racing in the future, HAHA!

If the MK5 has its parts made in, and is assembled in Germany...then I would put some faith in it. Otherwise almost all the VW's I know of that are owned by friends or family start falling apart around 20k. The MK5 does look pretty sweet, and has a TON of tuning potental though.

i've raced a few MK5's with basic bolt-ons, first thru third i have the lead by almost 3 car lenths but after that i'm left wayyyy behind. i'm running a JDM K20A motor off of a jdm integra type R using a usdm SI ecu simply cause i haven't found a PRC ecu yet. my car runs like crap, jerks alot, and vtec kicks in from approx 6100 rpm to cut off at 7400 rpm.

for a 6 cylinder car, i'm not impressed at all, not even with the 4-motion.

I hope your being sarcastic
TS: Dont waste your money on that header. If you need a cat get a JRRH used and weld a cat on it.

absolutely right i am thinking of the R32... my bad. there's just so many different versions of that car... specially where i live, every other person has one. but only 20 ep's in the entire country all euro type r's exept for mine. hehehe

vw's are very nice cars but still i am not impressed. it's sorta hard to impress a honda enthusiast, specially when out of a 2.0 L stock honda engine u can produce over 200 hp. so that's like more than a 100 hp per liter, now that's impressive.
