Default Ignition problem?

My girlfriends 96 Accord LX 4dr 4cyl car is having some wierd ignition issue. The car starts/runs fine. Turning it off, is a whole 'nother story. When the car is turned off, 1 of 3 things happens

a) engine remains on, even with the key removed from the ignition, then dies after about 30seconds-1 minute

b) Engine is killed, dashboard displays brake, oil, battery, and seatbelt lights with key pulled

c) Everything dies as normal, but within a few minutes, all the above mentioned lights turn on...

Any ideas as to what might be causing this problem?

a couple of ideas that I had:

The car has some sort of "alarm" installed(only say this cuz there is a LED on the dash, might be a fake)...we never got a key fob, and never had any problems(in the last 3 months)...could this be the cause of it somehow?

The ignition switch/relay is bad?

Any other advice would be appreciated.

grandbud, thanks a lot...can you possibly give instructions as to how to change out the ignition switch? I tried searching and couldn't find it...

To change out the Ignition switch you just need some basic tools. Make sure to disconnect your battery from the car so you don't blow an expensive fuse. It can easily happen if you don't disconnect that battery. Take off the steering cover (that black thing) and look in there and pull out the ignition switch. You don't need to take out the lock core. Just take off the switch, I think the color of it is green. It should be on a harness and it is probably held on by a mount. Just work with it a little bit and you will get that switch out. My idea on autozone vs honda part on this is since the honda part went out early why would you want to pay extra to get a POS honda part. Save money and get the auto zone ignition switch because it will probably last longer. Good luck i'm sure you'll be fine.
