I posted this in wheel and tire too, but I figure most of you guys are running big brakes so mabey someone on here has tried it.
I have 11.1" plelude/Accord wagon brakes on my car, and was thinking of switching to GSR blades. Is anybody running this setup under blades? Or what setups are you running? It looks like there is a little room, but is it enough?
For those that nned pics:

Why would you want to run those instead of Koseis? Or is this a "street" wheel with the Koseis being for track use or something?

Yeah buying them for street wheels. Selling the Koseis, and buying TE's with R comps, for the track. I'm driving the car cross country next year, and I am getting normal tires with them that will wear good for a reasonable price. The Azenis that I have now suck. No traction in first or second, and wear like they are made of butter.

FWIW, I have the ITR caliper/ Prelude rotors set up on my GSR, and the LS mesh (97 GSR) stock wheels clear them with no issues. I do the same thing with my car, use the stock wheels for the street and have seperate wheels for the track.
Are you getting a good deal on the blades? Last I saw, they weren't selling for much less than you could sell a used set of Koseis for.

It is basicly going to be an even trade. Selling the K-1's for 400, buying the Blades for 400.

Wait....what? Bart why not keep the K-1s? This is confusing now. K-1 = better track rim/street rim.

I'm going to get TE-37s with RA1's for most usage. The Blades will be only for long trips.

The ITR has much larger brakes than a normal GSR and the ITR makes due with 15x6" wheels, same as the blades are.
Just compare the two and you should have a decent guesstimate.

Yes, we understand that. But why bother switching, is what we're saying? Not like the Kosei's aren't streetable. Or do you just like the blade style?

I've had the Koseis for 5 years, and always liked the Blades. The tires I am getting is the big plus regular old street tires. I'm not a fan of Azenis. They are good I suppose with a lower power engine. With the traction problems I have with them, it isn't worth the wear. The tires I'm getting I will be able to drive to Cali and back in the spring no problem.

NSX dual pistons with 11.1" rotors fit under gsr blades, I had them on my '95 GSR before putting on 5-lug. Close fit and you have to grind a bit off of the piece that surrounds the caliper in order to center the caliper on the rotor (it was quite easy). Other than a wilwood setup made for 15" wheels, the NSX fronts are def. as big as you can go (and for a lot cheaper).
