Default This is sooo lame ...

okay ... i know this is off topic but i today i took my 2 year old daughter trick-or-treating with me today and guess what .... out of the 300 apartments only 10 opened their door ... only 3 had candy ... one lady gave my daughter a dollar (which i pressingly told her was unnecessary) ... But i am at loss. What happened to the spirit of Halloween? I remember when i was growing up i used to get loads of candy just in my block; sometimes 2 bags full. Its a dead shame ... people seem to be getting cheaper by the day. And its so lame because it is sort of a happy and fun experience for kids ...

sorry but i just felt really stupid going door to door with my 2 year old ... i mean this is NOT what halloween should be...

There is a reason we have a general discussion forum, just for stuff like this.

That sounds like such a disappointment. I'm sorry your daughter had to experience Halloween in such a rude neighborhood.

i guess people have just lost the spirit of halloween. Just like people are loosing spirit of all the other holidays Christmas, Eid, Passover, Easter, Diwali etc. etc.

So much for technological advancements... son doesn't know his father anymore 'cuz dad is too busy working 7a to 10p.m.

But i guess that is life ... people grow out of everything. I remember when i was growing up didn't know anything about ANYTHING; all i had in mind was mischief and playing with my friends. Now a days kids are more grown up than some of the adults.

I don't know i just really have been bumped after my halloween experience
