Default j series

Hey accord buffs. Im swaping out an engine in my eg hatch and i got money so i was intrested in something different then a B series or h swap. I looked up some out of the norm honda engines on wikipedia and i saw some v6 accord engines, the j or c series correct? Well i was wandering what the potential for these engines are, how durable, weight of the engine ect, ect. Would the extra weight/size/CYLINDERS be worth the base line hp of 200?? Im just dabling before i decide on a K swap

It would be too heavy and crowd the engine bay to death, plus it would have to be totally custom. I'd just go K series. It would torque steer like a **** and it wouldnt be functional.

It would be like swapping in a big block Chevy engine...heavy as hell, and not that quick.

It's not because it's stamped "HONDA" that you can swap thing like this ...

The J or C series are not in the same category as the B,D,H,F,K ...

It's completely different ...
With money, you can do everything ...

But you know, almost all the people i saw that saying " I got money yio " are dumbass ...

Check this out, if you really have money, why not built a nice H series ?

Fully built with a nice turbo setup ...

1. You have the aftermarket support
2. You know it will work
3. People can help you if you have a problem
4. I hope I don't write this for nothing ...

If you are seriously sure of your fabbing ability, look at the newer motors over the older ones, and be ready to make a custom everything to jam that motor in the bay. The motor itself isn't really that big. It's shorter than a K by a bit, just ALOT wider. Maybe tilt it forward a bit and use an EG readiator in front of the trans to clear the front head/exhaust.

It's alot of work, but then again others on this board have put fully functional H motors in the hatch of integras and made it look factory. If you have a year or so, alot of skill, and a moderate pile of cash you can do it.

Just to be honest, you're 17. If you ahve enough money to do this swap, you'd be better off saving it for college or investing it and having a shitload of money when you're older so you can buy a real sports car when your insurance rates are low.
