Advice/Opinions wanted: Toda Spec C's work best with which header?
I am installing a set of Toda Cs onto a B18C5. I am curious as to which header you guys would recommend running with the Spec Cs for the most efficient power gains. Please let me know of your thoughts and opinions. By the way, the head is slightly modified, as well as the block, but I am basing opinions on a stock ITR motor for now. Thanks.
MIchael.
Spoon 4-2-1 (I hear that the gains are most prominent on milder cams like OEM or Spoon vs. higher lift cams)
JDM ITR 4-1 (4-1 design yields gains in higher RPM bands maximizing gains in higher lift cams vs. 4-2-1 design)
JDM DC 4-1 (Cheaper and ligher version of JDM ITR 4-1 w/ poorer build quality?)
Other? (Below $1000 for the price of the header)

Talk to SMSP.
Thanks for the info Steve.
I guess I am at a loss with all those headers as far as flow is concerned.
I actually have a Hy Tech header, but am having issues with mating it to the cat that I was given with the header, as well as getting it to clear the transmission housing and getting it to mate up to the b-pipe.
I don't want to have to weld onto my Mugen b pipe, but it seems that I am running out of options. I am also having issues with the secondary 02 sensor, no place to mount it. I also live in California where under hood checks are not uncommon.
Austin, are you here? can you help me out??? Thanks guys...

toda header or smsp header, depends how modded your engine is. sgT has the sms and i have the toda header. both of our engines are modded pretty well, but i would say if you go all out then get the smsp header. have fun waiting 3 months or so for it though
The dude's asking which header would work efficiently with his spec C cams, and I recommended the Toda header, which part of that did you miss?
3 month wait? i dont think they are in that much of a b/o
