ok i don't know i was driving along on the highway and i heard/felt a bang well it didn't affect anything just that whenever i turned off the car or the car shaked i would hear a wind chime noise but anyways as i was driving down a residential and the bang hit again and htis metal thing came from the car? what the heck is it?
is it important? what does it do? help me! i drive a 1990 accord EX

That's the bracket that support the intake manifold. It bolts to the back of the block next to the oil filter and goes up and bolts to the bottom of the intake manifold. Did you have a couple bolts left over after working on your engine?

that is a brace for the rear of the motor, connects the manifold to the block
Last I checked, the oil filter is no where near the Intake Manifold.
