Im in a little bother. Whilst i was pulling out my stereo i pulled on a black earth wire which screws to the centre of the frame work where the centre console sits. It has 2 small crimps on the end which look like it goes to a plug.

I have airbags and im told that the earth connects to the SRS control Unit, ive had a look but i cant seem to see where the unit is?

Can anyone explain to me where i may find it under the dash?

just look for bright yellow connectors. they should be different than any other connector on the entire car. chances are, its behind the radio underneath the center console trim just to the right of the gas pedal.

 

man from the way you describe it, it sounds like the ground wire that connects to the metal chassis behind the gauge cluster and you pulling it out makes a lot of sense because that wire is VERY close to the radio harness. Also check if your SRS lights up and turns off, if it does then it def. doesn't have anything to do with your airbags.
