Default 88 Accord LX (manual 4dr pwr everything) DOOR PANEL REMOVAL

I've googled, searched this site and others, but have found nothing on how to get the drivers inside door panel off, without busting the damn thing.

My outside driver door handle busted one side august 2nd, and i've been careful with it since then, and tonight, it finally gave. Now, I have to crawl in my passenger door to get in the driver's seat.

Tonight, I managed to get the whole side panel loose, unplug the controls and whatnot, but CANT get the thing to come all the way off, giving me access to the inside door handle. I'm visiting the junkyard tomorrow to scavenge one off another accord...

Does anyone have any diagrams or anything about the door panel removal? any help?

Thanks for reading, all.

I was able to get a ridiculous amount of screws off, as well as the plastic tabs, but the top trim part wouldn't come free. does the window need to be down?

I'll let you know if i have any luck tonight.

you need to pick it up and unhook it from the top of the door

I've put insane amounts of upward pressure, even with help from a friend, on the door panel, and it just wont pop off...

heading to the junkyard now, hopefully i'll find an identical model (called beforehand, they said they had some...) and figure it out better that way...

results and pics tonight, might make a ******* article out of it.

and, for the record, jumping in the passenger door and over the set e-brake is actually kind of fun, and makes me feel like a ninja. or a douche.

i got a new handle and side mirror (broke that too) at the junkyard. I managed to yank the panel off the car at the junkyard, but im not sure it was at a point where i could put it back on...

Whats the exact procedure for getting it all the way off, after screws?

also, does anyone have any guides to replacing the handle?

does the bottom of it flap around if you pull it? if not, put a flat head screw driver were its not, and pry it out, there are little clips holding it in which you just pry out, and can bang back in later. if youcan almost pull the door panel off, just the top part by the window is stopping you then get a flat head screw driver and pry the trim off, it would be easier with the window down too
