removing armor-all stains on gauge cluster plastic
I don't want to bore you techies with such a stupid question but...
Anybody have problems removing armour all from the clear plastic covering the gauge cluster?
I was lazy and I didn't clean it off when it got on the plastic cover... it's been a few months now, and now the damn thing won't come off at all!
I tried windex, hot soap water... i'm thinking of trying nail polish remover.
Any suggestions?

I have the same problem and I cant get that **** off either off of my cluster gauge. I even tried a little bit of gasoline but didnt work. Guess I'll try the simple green. If u find something that works let me know.

Well first I would recommend removing the guage cluster from the car before using gasoline or other chemicals inside the car like that. I bet some plastic polish or rubbing compound would get the stuff off. I would probably remove the cluster and take the plastic piece off so I could just go ahead and clean both the inside and outside.
oh yeah I remember my friend wanted to put a sticker on his interior.. but his dash was armor alled so the sticker wouldnt adhere.. he used an Oxy Pad (those things teens use for pimples to remove oil and dirt).. and was able to remove the armor all film and apply his sticker... you can also try rubbing alcohol to remove the oil or whatever from the armor all...
if you want to make it all easier on yourself, just buy a new one.
