Default Question about grounding cable on the Valve Cover

I noticed that alot of people with b series engines have the grounding cable on the valve cover stud. Mine is located on the factory location near the edge where its not that sufficient on contacting metal on the head since theres the valve cover gasket. My question is does this affect the sparking in the ignition?

No it won't. The bolt does go down to block and there are other grounds for the engine to use also.
