Stock EG radio
I Dont know if this is possible so thats why im asking. Is there any way to hook up the stock EG radio to an AMP and to a CD changer. Its a cassette/am/fm unit. Thanks
I was checking into this a while back. As far as I can tell, yes. Your unit has to have the changer controls on it, and you can use the OEM changer or an Alpine equivilant.
As for the amp, as much as I can gather, you have to get this signal splitter and tap into the speaker wires to pull the amp signal out. From what I was told, it sounds alright, but the fade or balance would change the sound going to the amp.

There may be a wiring harness that you can purchase that will have "speaker level" inputs. OR you could splice into the rear speaker wire and use that for your amp signal, i've seen it done several times... Hope that helps a little!!
Ebay is your friend....

I'm not 100% sure those are both changer controlling heads, but I'm pretty sure they are... it's not a hard thing to check... pretty much plug and play with a stock changer. And if you do get one w/o the code, just call the dealer and give them the serial number... they usually look up the code for you.

The deck out of a Del Sol will work as well... I ran one for a while...

I had someone explain it before, but I still haven't tried this... seems like it ought to work.

you need a high to low level speaker converter as described above. Any stereo shop or even Best Buy/Circuit City have them.
Get 2 of them, one for front speakers one for rear speakers.
Run your existing speaker wires from the radio into the two converters. This gives you the RCA outputs that the amp needs.
If your just asking to put in subs, you only need one converter and attaching it to the rear speakers works the best.
