Default I'm getting mis-fire codes, but car doesnt seem to be mis-firing?

Hey Type-R people again. My Car seems to be un-happy again.

Recently removed VAFC-II
Adjusted Cams back to zero, intake and exhaust
Changed plugs to NGK iridium 9

now the car is getting random misfire codes on cylinder 2,3 and 4. and its getting the random multi misfire code too.

The car doesn't seem to be having any problems. Other than the CEL. What could possibly be causing this. i just wanted to get your thoughts before i tear into this engine, again

mileage:82k
new timing belt, water pump and headgasket at 66k

never money shifted, or anything like that. opinions welcome

Check your timing and use different plugs. Make sure your spark plug wires are on tight.

What actual code are you throwing ?
Go to http://www.phearable.net/tech and review the MIL section.

sounds like it has to do with the vafc being removed. Are all the wires put together correctly?

yes sir. it actually felt better after i took out the VAFC. but i triple checked those wires, do you think a crossed wire would do this?

Got similar problems with my Prelude, all signs are pointing to dirty/stuck/broken EGR Valve. I had this problem a few months back with just over 100k mi. I ended up removing egr, filling port with "Seafoam", and running car at high idle. CELs went away till now, maybe 10k mi later. You might want to give the seafoam a try. You can find it at NAPA. But I think I am going to have to replace mine. Cheers, Wj
