Civic Type R cluster help????

i just pick up 97 civic hatch with a gsr cluster and i wanted to put in a ctr cluster. i ask him if the wires will work if i put in the ctr cluster and it wont work. Dose anyone know what i need to do or help me with some info trying to put in my ctr cluster?

yea you need to find stock 96+ civic plugs and find out the colors/pinouts and put them back to stock

Do you know if the guy cut any wires? If not, then what he probably did was open the plugs up and switch the wires. The easiest thing to do would be to open them up yourself and put them back the same way they were, should not take more than 30 min- 1 hr. I went the other way around, i put a gsr cluster in my civic, it wasn't that bad, didn't have to buy plugs, just switch the cables. BTW, there is a link somewhere in these forums, do a search. Hope this helps. Also, why do you want to get ctr, if you don't mind. I'm asking because the gsr's look nice cause the needles light up.
If the guy didn't do a shitty job and cut any wires, it's a simple process of reverting the wires back to the correct pin to work with an EK cluster. Use the link in my signature and work yourself backward.
