Default help

Hi

Since this is my first post iīll introduce myself. I have a 1998 Red Integra Type r (stock ) and iīm from Portugal.
In a near future i want to change the exhaust system of my car,i was thinking in spoon....but a friend of mine told me that Vision was best not only because it whas cheaper but also because there was a test between these 2 brands and vision had better results...still i would like your opinion on what is best for the ITR.

Tks
Pedro Barros

I do not know anything about the Vision exhausts but I can tell you that you can't go wrong with spoon.

By the results on that page it seems TODA racing headers are a little bit better than spoon....but that SMS brand i never heard of it...is it good?
Which exhaust system is more expensive, Toda or Spoon?

If you are going to modify your car extensively, I would definately go with Toda or SMS.

The SMS is a "custom" header made by SMSP on Honda-Tech. I would say that out of all the headers in the header test, the SMS header is the best.

Spoon<Toda<SMS header in price and performance.

SMS is a private venture by a member of this board.....

Spoon and Toda on the other hand are larger outfits with nearly identical pricing....

hth.....oh and welcome to the board

Hmmm i donīt want to do much....just the exhaust system,a CAI (AEM) ,better brakes and a H&R coilover and the wheels Volk Racing TE-37
Well...this is a lot of money but iīm not in a hurry...should i include something to preserve the engine...like a oil cooler or something like that...or these mods (the ones under the hood) donīt require that?

What problem do you have with the stock brakes/suspension?

Yes they do.

If you want a to save some money, you can just get some better brake pads and some lowering springs like spoon.

i have nothing against the suspension but i wouldnīt mind it was a little bit harder....and the car looks better if lowered, but the brakes i donīt know if they are very tolerant to high temperatures...
