remote start available on 2007 US Civic?
I noticed that there is an option on the CDN Civic for a remote starter. Is this available for the US model as I don't see it listed as an option?
Thanks,

I live in Canada and work at a Honda dealership. I'm not sure if it's available in the US but there are some drawbacks to the Honda Remote start. It will only run your car for 10 minutes. No option on this. After it runs for 10 minutes, there is a 20 minute wait before it can be started again with the remote start.
After starting the car and getting ready to enter the vehicle, any action of unlocking with the key or remote shuts down the engine. You then enter the vehicle and restart it again.
The consideration for safety and the environment vs convienience seems to have influenced their design. Don't get me wrong, the plug and play install, not loosing a key for the immobi are all good. I use the remote less than in my old car. Good for the environment and my gas bill, just not as convenient.
