I have a 2000 civic hatch, and whenever I make a U-Turn (steering at full lock) I hear a single, loud 'crunch' noise. It doesn't repeat. This happens even at very low speeds.

Any idea on what this could be?

The car is lowered, but it is not extremely low -- maybe .75" lower than stock?

 

Do you have the upper arms whiched around? Left on the right side and vise versa. If so that's the problem.

 

No, the upper arms are factory; they've never been off the car.

 

Whats been done to the suspension other than it just being lowered?

 

Ground control coilovers & iluminas. Stock knuckles, stock control arms, no sway bars.

I removed the passenger side knuckle once, and the passenger side lower balljoint was replaced.

 

Did you get under there and make sure everything was tight? Most guys just go right for the forum instead of looking first.

 

I checked everything when I put my snows on two weeks ago. Also retorqued the lug nuts last weekend.
