Default finding 99-00 civics?

i know this may be in the wrong forum...but i couldnt think of anywhere else to put it..
anyways, where are some good places to look for 99-00 civic hatches in california? ive looked online. i drove down to LA this weekend, looked at their autotrader. the book barely had any. i figured LA would have tons of civics to chose from. what else can i look at? i really need a car so i can get back on my feet. im beginning to feel hopeless. if anyone has any good places to check out, please let me know

and mods...if there is a better place for this, please move it.

just keep looking in the autotrader, how much are you willing to spend? they run for at the most 8gs stock and at the least 4-5gs...

if you're lucky you'll find one worthy within a month. Otherwise keep searching.

Craigslist is also a pretty good option.

it just seems like im missing something...theres gotta be more than the one or two pages that the autotrader has....im looking to spend 4-6. if its stock it shouldnt be anymore than that..

haha...funny story: i went to this place in long beach...this guys got 5 or 6 civics with all these jdm parts and stuff...hes got this one stock hatch with 189,000 miles on it. 99. you could tell it was BEAT...they slapped a cheap *** paintjob on it and he wanted 7,800. i nearly laughed in his face...i wouldve given him 2 or 3 for it.

Is it absolutely necessary to get a 99-00 hatch. If you are desperate for a car you may just have to get what you can find. Hell, after I found out the car I have now was for sale, I was desperately looking for something better, even though it had a B16 in it. I had always wanted a B-Series motor but I never really cared for EK's (until I actually got the car now I'm in love with EK's). It was actually kinda sad looking when I found it and that's why I didn't want it but since a Prelude VTEC, Del Sol VTEC, or an EG Si wasn't just gonna fall in my lap I decided to get it. Best $3500 my dad has ever spent on me. (He had spent over 5500 in repairs on my bro's Fiero so he owed me another car) I was also looking hard for a decent CRX I could drop my Z6 in but that wasn't happenin either.

96-98's ain't bad either man look into them. Cheaper plus there are 3 years worth of cars to look for instead of 2. If you wanted to badly enough you could do a 99-00 front end conversion. The taillights fit without any mods. I've 99-00 taillights on mine. My conversion gonna be an SiR conversion instead of a 99-00 one though.

yeah i know...ive realized i might have to lower my standards...the thing was that when i bought my first civic...i had no idea what i was doing. i just knew i wanted a civic and i wanted to put money into it...then i realized i shouldve gotten an ex...then i realized i shouldve gotten a 99-00 for the front end, then i realized how much more i wouldve liked a hatchback...so yeah...i just figured id do it right the second time around. i didnt really want to spend the money on the front end and tail lights...plus the climate control seems to be not worth the effort.

yes definatley buy a 99-00 because u would want to change everything over anyways
but i have a 96 hatch and im loving the way its coming along swapping the front end trying to find parts
it just seems more fun then having it all there
and u could save some money
i got my complete front end for 220 bucks
including an si hood
so good luck
