Default ringlands all broken

well i just got finished rebuilding my motor with new pistons because my previous ones were all busted up. It was only the ring lands. The actual rings were almost mint. The block was not scored at ALL. Almost perfect. However, the pistons were literally falling apart.. all of them. Is this a sign of a bad tune or of over boosting it? Its on a obdI gsr boosted. Is there a way to tell if it was the boost of what caused it?

most likely detonation broke your ringlands.

thats what i was thinking... i have my o2 sensor out to help it run alittle more rich. Does this help detonation or hurt it?

If that's the only modification you made to the engine management you found your problem. You need to add fuel and take away timing. How much boost was it running?

not all basemaps are terrible ive seen some that actually did not need much tweaking. Who knows what was setup like or what engine/turbo hes running.
