An ECU question
i had the enging replaced with a k20z1 now did the dealer change the ecu as well?? if so wich hondata reflash should i get 02-04 or 05-06 im a lil confused about that. i look on the engine and it says on it k20z1

everytime i ask a mod question i only get like one or 2 replies i guess thid forum is for looks only its hard to get a lot of info out of it

Dealer had to have changed the ECU...as far as ur reflash...are you sure u don't wanna get k-pro instead/?? yeah it's more $$ but playability with it is crazy. I don't know if you plan on doin any other mods like me, but i would get kpro..
Your engine is from the 05-06 type s....and if you want kpro u gotta get the 02-04 ECU + the o2 sensor etc.
If you want full details on what you need...simply go to the hondata website....it'll be explained in detail there....GLLLL

WOW finally someone with some knowladge i just plan on doing img, cai, exhaust, reflash, drop, sways, rims and tires not too much i just want a lil more power

actually i think that u would need to run the 05-06 ecu, due to the fact that, the k20z1 isnt throttle cable no more, the vtec activation point is a little different, some other things too but i forgot... sorry

hey well my rsx is a 04 and i got all bolt-ons, and reflash it revs higher and runs great with good bolt-ons, i dont race or anything so is good but if your into racing go k-pro it cost more but you could upgrade it more, like if u have cams and things like that, but if not reflash believe me is goooooodddd......
