1995 Integra Type-R never existed
1996 first introduced in Japan
1997 was the first year it was introduced to NA

The ITR was released in Japan in September 1995. My understanding is that in Japan, the ones built & sold in '95 would be 1995 Integra Type-Rs.. but they're still "96 Spec". They don't do model years quite like we do in the States.. Reid or someone more knowledgeable about Japan correct me if I'm wrong.

A bit of semantics, I guess.

 

95=96-97
98=99
00=01

The 1996 Honda ITR was released in August 1995, as a 1996 model.

 

in Gt4(gran turismo 4) they have a 95 iTR in the game. :D
