Default AIT Air Intake Temp. Sensor question

mine seems to be bypassed by the original owner with some sort of resistor....

is this good or should i hook it up....

I am going to be swaping intake manifolds soon and i want to take care of everything down thtere while I can...

depends on the year of the car. Newer cars rely on it more than older cars. i would replace it no matter what.

bypassed with a resistor? wtf.

Hook it up normally, reset the ecu, let it run for 5-10 minutes.

They use a resistor to simulate a constant cold air condition. It richens up the A/F.
If you want better gas mileage and it to run right, fix it. I think the sensor is like $15 from the dealer.
