i have a 95 civic, its had an idle surge for a while and now when i start it, it just stalhs. it will stay running for a minute if i give it some gas, but then it just stalhs again. if i keep starting it untill it worms up the check engine light comes on and it will stay running. i have a vacf so the check engine light should be on anyway but it doesnt come on untill it warms up now and stays running. ive never had a probl like this on any car so any advice would help

 

vafc could be the cause because did something similar to mine
reset ecu and unplug vafc see what happens
if you have a check engine light still comes on check for codes
check for vafc wiring jumper might of came loose

 

im gettin a code 3, MAP sensor.

 

is it without the vafc? your getting this code
if so new map sensor

 

no its with, i havent checked without
