Default Check engine light goes on with vafc hooked up..

i have a sohc turbo del sol and with vafc hooked up the car throws a check engine light above 4k...with the vafc unhooked it is fine but then i have no tune with no vafc. My local shop already swapped, distributors, ecus, redid the wiring on the vafc, swapped vafc's and nothing has helped. Should i get rid of the vafc and run a fmu? or does anyone know what could be wrong?

did you use wire taps or solder it to the wires? Cause I had the same problem with wire taps.

the sensor has been replaced, the missing link has been replaced several times, and im only running 7 psi. This is a z6 motor with a y8 intake manifold not sure if that has anything to do with it.

A missing link is a band-aid. Get a 3BAR map sensor and you CEL should go off.

Why when the stock MAP is good to 10 - 11 psi.... Is the 3bar magically going to fix the CEL? Now if he said I am running 15psi, then yes the logical explanation would point to the stock map sensor. I ran 10 psi daily with the stock MAP and no CEL.

I dont understand why you are using a VAFC and missing link in the first place. That probably cost more than a chipped ECU would have.

I ran the AFC hack and I never got a MAP CEL. I have never ran a missing link with an AFC though. I personally would ditch your whole setup and get some real fuel management. You cant go turbo and skimp on the management especially since you probably spent more on that than you would have on superior management
