Non vtec head on vtec block

I got a 94 accord EX w/ a messed up head. Can I use a cylinder head from a 94 LX non vtec head and put it on my vtec block? My brother says yes and I say no. Who's right? is this doable?

Well, for one the ECU would need to be changed out.

Yes ecu of course. What I meant is, is it going to be a bolt on type thing, or will it require modifications to make it fit.

yes it will bolt on fine, just use a non vtec timing belt

the question is why? they cost next to nothing now a day, if you are putting in that much work, why not get it right?

So what headgasket would i go for if i put on this non vtec head? how about dowel pins, will they line up right?
