need help: '91 2.2L lunges after changing hoses

need help: '91 2.2L lunges after changing hoses
I just changed the bottom hose on my FITV and my heater hose after they ruptured. Now the car is stuttering and lunging when I give it gas in gear. Could this have something to do with the coolent, since I had almost all the hoses off of the T-stat?

Air in the coolant will do this. If you look where your thermostat is you will see a little vent valve on top of the housing. Let your car idle until the fan cuts on and then open that valve until a solid stream of coolant comes out.
